Doug founded E-quip Africa in 2003 after 34 years of teaching in elementary schools in Minnesota. He traveled to Ghana, West Africa and found schools there in dire need of educational equipment and supplies. The mission of E-quip Africa is to collect, refurbish, ship and install computers in schools in Ghana. E-quip Africa collects computers in the Willmar, Minnesota area.
